The Academy for Leadership in Practice

Recognizing that the 21st century is one of change in which leadership has to be rethought to meet the challenges of the new millennium, Bridging-Changes is devising a leadership training that focuses on skills and tools rather than on theory.

Course concept

Iterative training addressing knowledge transfer, skills training, reflection and implementation

3 modules over 10 months of in-person training with online work and coaching between modules

Each module covers 3 pillars:
1: Leading Self
2: Leading others
3: Leading change and in transitions

Each pillar has specific learning objectives that remain constant throughout the modules

Each pillar has multiple content blocks that work towards the learning objectives

j

Content blocks that are repeated are done in a manner to meet different learning needs

The courses will be held in-person in Bangkok, Thailand. For students, the time invested will be about 40 days over 10 months. There will be only a limited number of participants, given that skills training is intensive and requires time.

The methodology is interactive, using case studies, practice sessions with feedback from experienced leadership trainers and facilitators, and mentoring during the in-personal training modules and inter-sessional work.

Subjects to be covered are leading self, leading others, leading change and in transition, self-assessment, observation, different leadership styles, giving and receiving feedback, change management principles, etc.

What is the Bridging-Changes Academy for Leadership in Practice (BC-ALP)?

The BC-ALP is a 10-month learning program aimed at young leaders between 30 and 40 years old that aims to teach them skills and tools needed for leadership. Three different in-person training modules allow them to learn and practice these various tools with guided feedback from a group of highly qualified trainers from Asia and Europe. All three modules focus on leading self, leading others and leading change using an iterative methodology.

Between modules, there will be opportunities offered for coaching and mentoring to the participants as they put into practice what they have learned during the in-person training.
